HP and Dick Smith to do the 'right thing' with e-waste

Infoactiv manages launch events combined with e-waste and recycling initiatives, for several companies such as the recent joint event for both Hewlett Packard and Dick Smith Electronics Stores. This style of event enables consumers to take advantage of a trade up / trade in on new product whilst recycling their old electronic goods in an environmentally friendly manner.

This recent joint event was located at selected Dick Smith NSW stores over the weekend of Saturday & Sunday, 6th & 7th June 2009, to encourage consumers to drop off their unused electronic waste.

As visitors enter the car parks of these stores they were greeted by HP & Dick Smith store personnel and directed to the container areas where their equipment was removed and deposited into the collection container. At the end of the weekend all e-waste was shipped to the local recycling facility for ISO accredited and approved processing and disposal. 

Infoactiv assists several manufacturers and organisations, such as HP, to promote products and services to customers, communicate with their end users, whilst delivering on their product stewardship obligations and environmental targets.
